About the Role:

Intersky Precision Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer / Chief Inspector to join our FAA 145 Repair Station team. Reporting directly to the VP of Quality, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS). This position involves hands-on inspection, compliance auditing, process improvement, and training development to ensure the highest standards in aerospace repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections and oversee the return-to-service process for aircraft components.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, (UK) CAA, and CASE standards.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Create, revise, and maintain QMS documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
  • Establish key performance metrics and analyze data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts using 7 Quality Tools, 5 Whys, 5S, and Poka-Yoke methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Train and mentor inspection personnel on quality standards, tools, and best practices.

    • Qualifications

    Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, auditing, or inspection within an FAA-certificated, AS9100, AS9110, ISO 9001, or Nadcap environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (document control, change tracking, complex formatting).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, advanced charting).
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145, 21, 43).

    • Preferred:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification..
  • A&P License or previous Repairman’s Certificate.
  • Experience with SharePoint, SQL, Power Query, Power Pivot, or SSRS.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing, MRO, or repair station operations
